Our client in Ridgeland, MS is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with strong Excel skills and full-cycle accounting experience to contribute to a collaborative and well-established company.
Manage all aspects of full-cycle accounting including journal entries, general ledger, month-end and year-end close
Perform accurate and timely bank reconciliations
Work with large and complex data sets (14+ pages) in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting
Maintain accurate records and support both internal and external audits
Collaborate with other departments to streamline accounting processes
Adapt quickly to established systems and internal procedures
Assist with financial reporting and special projects as needed
Minimum 3 years of accounting experience
Proficient in Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced) – including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and handling large data files
Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines
Self-starter who learns quickly and works well independently
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
