Entry Level Staff Accountant
Job Description
A leading real estate development, investment, and property management firm is seeking an Entry Level Accountant to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a recent accounting graduate or an experienced bookkeeper looking to take the next step in their accounting career.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and post routine journal entries
- Understand and apply basic debit and credit principles
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Reconcile accounts and maintain accurate financial records
- Assist with month-end closing activities
- Review transactions for accuracy and proper account coding
- Perform general bookkeeping and accounting duties as needed
- Support the accounting team with special projects
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- Recent college graduate with a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, OR
- Up to 5 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience
- Solid understanding of debits, credits, and basic accounting principles
- Comfortable with journal entries and routine accounting transactions
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Willingness to learn and grow within the accounting department
