Job Description

JOB SUMMARY: Compiles and keeps records of quantity, type, and value of material, property, equipment, merchandise, or supplies. Conducts counts of inventory and post totals. Verifies record computations against physical count of inventory. Investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Carrying out the Company’s organizational values and operating in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Company policies are required functions. Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following: % of TIME SPENT

1. Monitor and maintain user interface, correcting errors that occur during receiving, picking, shipping materials throughout the day. Document errors created in various reports. Communicate with various customer/personnel to correct inbound issues. Utilize various web based sites to complete transactions. 30%

2. Generate list of items/locations to cycle count. Enter and update all findings from cycle count results. Investigate all discrepancies determining root cause. Communicate with the customer to correct inventory discrepancies. 30%

3. Correct systematic errors created in the warehouse management system. Monitor and document efficiency of warehouse personnel through various reports. Generate/update reports to track warehouse progress throughout the year. 10%

4. Create necessary packing list/BOL information for all outbound shipments going to customer. Document all outbound shipments recording errors that occurred during shipment process. Investigate and document discrepancies reported by customer. 10%

5. Audit randomly selected locations from receivers put-away sheets. Systematically verify successful transfer as well as physically locate items in warehouse verifying correct placement. Document pass/ fail report. Correct any discrepancies physically or systematically. 10%

6. Generate daily pick list based on customer requirements. 5%

7. Investigate and resolve items not found in location that will affect production locate. items in warehouse verifying correct placement. Document pass/ fail report. Correct any discrepancies physically or systematically 5%

8. Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.

Job Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High School Diploma/GED

Experience: 1 - 2 years

Type of Experience: Forklift and inventory management

 REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAs):

Familiarity and ability to utilize warehouse management system (WMS) preferably SAP. Intermediate skills with Microsoft applications (Excel, Outlook, Word). Excellent communication skills to communicate/respond to management, customers, suppliers, supervisors, and warehouse personnel. Effectively able to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment. Deductive reasoning skills in order to be able to investigate and determine root cause. Excellent teamwork skills.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF THE JOB:

Employee must have physical ability to stand, bend, twist, pull, push and lift up to 50 pounds. The employee will required to reach with hands and arms and occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch. Employee will be required to talk and listen frequently.

ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS OF THE JOB:

Typical Warehouse environment with moderate noise.
