Job Description

Seeking an experienced Payroll & Bookkeeping Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with extensive payroll processing experience and a strong bookkeeping background. The successful candidate will manage payroll for multiple clients, ensure accuracy and compliance, and provide exceptional client support throughout the payroll process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process payroll for multiple clients accurately and on schedule using QuickBooks and Gusto.
  • Manage payroll onboarding for new clients and employees.
  • Set up and maintain direct deposit information.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data.
  • Perform bookkeeping duties, including maintaining financial records and reconciling accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to client inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with team members to provide high-quality payroll and bookkeeping services.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in payroll processing, preferably handling payroll for multiple clients.
  • Strong bookkeeping experience required.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks and Gusto payroll software.
  • Thorough understanding of payroll laws, tax regulations, and payroll best practices.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in an accounting, bookkeeping, or payroll services environment.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
