Job Description

A leading Systems Integration and Technology Consulting firm with offices in Jackson, Mississippi; Knoxville, Tennessee; and Nashville, Tennessee, provides managed IT services, cybersecurity, networking, cloud solutions, and technology consulting to businesses throughout the Southeast.

The company is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and customer-focused Accountant to join its Jackson, MS team. This is an excellent opportunity for a mid- to senior-level accounting professional who enjoys taking ownership of the accounting process, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and contributing to sound financial decision-making within a growing technology company.

 
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Perform account reconciliations, including bank and balance sheet accounts.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
  • Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Monitor cash flow and support financial planning initiatives.
  • Coordinate with external accountants and auditors during tax preparation and year-end activities.
  • Maintain compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting efficiency.
  • Support leadership with financial reports, analysis, and special projects.

Job Requirements

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
  • Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or comparable ERP systems).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities independently.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CPA designation or CPA candidate.
  • Experience in the technology, professional services, or managed services industry.
  • Experience with project accounting and revenue recognition.
  • Experience supporting multi-entity or multi-location organizations.
